Alana acts for domestic and international insurers in claims involving personal injury, public and product liability. In addition, she acts in connection with professional indemnity matters, including policy cover interpretation advice and disputes. Having lived and worked in London with a national insurance legal practice, Alana has gained the additional benefits and unique experience of working in an international jurisdiction. She has continued to provide legal services to her previous London market clients upon her return.

Alana has a well-established and varied personal injury experience across all Australian jurisdictions as well as the UK defending claims on behalf of major mining, construction, government and retail insureds.

She advises on complex policy cover interpretation in public, liability and professional indemnity and has provided London Market insurers with extensive advice on Australian policy cover considerations and disputes. As part of her professional indemnity practice, she has successfully defended both Australian and UK architects, surveyors and lawyers.

Alana has previously worked in-house for the Victorian Transport Accident Commission and was also seconded to a London Market insurer for six months. This has given her in-depth understanding of the roles of insurers and government agencies, which ensures she provides her clients with timely, straightforward and cost-effective legal advice.
