Robert has specialised in insurance law, associated litigation and advice for over 35 years. He has acted in all jurisdictions in Victoria and also interstate on matters for major Australian and international insurers. His expertise includes public and products liability, professional indemnity, industrial special risks (ISR) and construction risk, fire‚ arson, fraud and defence of sporting and leisure organisations and associated risk management advice.

Robert has provided extensive advice to insurers on numerous aspects of policy interpretation and drafting and has presented many seminars on insurance and liability law issues. He provides clients with staff training and regular updates on legal developments.

Robert also has expertise in sports law, particularly in the defence of liability claims against sporting and leisure organisations. He has defended claims against many organisations including ski resorts, horse racing clubs, jockeys, harness racing clubs, riding schools, motor cycle clubs, bowling clubs, motor boat operators, yachting clubs, lacrosse clubs, golf claims and cycling races. He has presented several seminars to sporting organisations on the defence of litigated claims, accident investigation and associated risk management procedures and strategies.

Robert is retained by Outdoor Recreation Inc. to advise on Adventure Activity Standards for various sporting and leisure clubs and organisations throughout Victoria.
