Scott is a highly skilled litigator with significant expertise in both insurance and commercial matters. He has particular expertise in professional indemnity claims and has acted in a wide range of disputes involving auditors and accountants, financial advisors, stockbrokers and construction professionals. This includes providing coverage advice to leading Australian and global insurers, underwriters and underwriting agencies.

Scott’s extensive experience in commercial litigation covers insolvency, construction, intellectual property and banking and finance. This includes five years of practice at the Victorian Bar, during which he gained detailed knowledge of the litigation process as well as significant know-how in advocacy and pleadings. In addition, Scott has developed an excellent understanding of the perspectives of both plaintiffs and defendants.

Scott has been involved in numerous large scale matters involving multiple parties and significant electronic discovery, including cases related to auditors’ liability, construction disputes and government enquiries. He has also conducted appeals to the High Court of Australia and international arbitrations.
