Tom joined Moray & Agnew in February 2006 after commencing his legal career with another defendant law firm in 2003 where he advised major insurers on compulsory third party, s151Z and public liability claims.
He is regularly involved in matters in which liability and indemnity are in question and frequently advises on administrative law issues involving the Motor Accidents Compensation Act 1999 (MACA).
Tom is also experienced in all facets of Alternative Dispute Resolution. He became a Law Society of NSW Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury in 2008.
Tom gained invaluable experience working for an insurer between 2000 and 2003. Following the introduction of the MACA, he developed solid expertise in Motor Accidents Assessment Service procedures and acquired a comprehensive understanding of the proper assessment of whole person impairment. He successfully represented the insurer in all aspects of claims management, including advocacy of matters at the Claims Assessment Resolution Services (CARS).
Tom continues to act as an advocate for matters proceeding through CARS, as well as handling litigated matters in the Local, District and Supreme Courts.
